History
While the ritual of the Order has its origins in the 1870’s, the Masonic Order of Pilgrim Preceptors dates its formal organization to 1984. The Order is based on the story of how Freemasonry came from Jerusalem to England. Candidates are admitted to the degree of Pilgrim, which describes the journey of Freemasonry from Jerusalem to Rome. The second degree is that of Preceptor, and explains the journey from Rome to England.

On Membership Enquiries in the USA Region
The Masonic Order of Pilgrim Preceptors is an Invitational Masonic Order. However, if you are qualified for membership by being a Past Master and Past First Principal (Past High Priest) and are interested in membership, then you may email opp.reggov.usa@gmail.com expressing your interest.
Your expression of interest is not a guarantee of future invitation to membership. However, you may receive an application so that we might have the full information that we require for consideration.
Submission of an application is not a guarantee of future invitation to membership. While we consider applications throughout the year, the USA Region meets on the work of Mayflower Conclave No. 8 only once annually at Masonic Week in February of each year. If your application is accepted, you will receive an invitation from us before Masonic Week. If another opportunity arises during the year for entry or participation in forming a new Conclave, we will contact you at our convenience. If you do not receive a response, your application remains under consideration at our discretion.
If one or more Conclaves already exists in your Masonic Jurisdiction (either the Jurisdiction of your residence or the Jurisdiction of your Craft Lodge), then we will pass your application along to those Conclaves for their consideration. Again, this is an invitational organization, and any Conclave that is given your application to consider is under no obligation to act upon it nor to invite you to membership. If you do not receive a response, your application remains under consideration at their discretion.
By qualification, you must be a Past Master of a Craft Lodge by, at least, one year’s service and a Past High Priest (Past First Principal or Past Z.) of a Royal Arch Chapter by, at least, one year’s service. There are no exceptions.
Please understand that due to the volume of enquiries that we receive, multiple enquiries are not helpful and may impair consideration of your enquiry or application.
ON Membership Enquiries from outside the United states or canada
Applicants, candidates, joining members, and proposed founders proposed for Conclave membership in the USA Region that either reside outside the USA or Canada, or hold membership (or plural membership) in a Craft Lodge or Royal Arch Chapter outside of the USA or Canada may only be recommended and/or apply to membership in Mayflower Conclave; and, their applications must be approved by the Executive of the Order to proceed. This does not inhibit any existing member of the Order to visit any Conclave in the USA Region.
Membership Requirement
The Masonic Order of Pilgrim Preceptors is an invitational Masonic Organization requiring that all candidates proposed for membership are required to be a current member of a Craft Lodge in a Craft Jurisdiction recognized by the United Grand Lodge of England and a current member of a Royal Arch Chapter in a Royal Arch Jurisdiction recognized by the Supreme Grand Holy Royal Arch Chapter of England; and further, that all candidates proposed for membership are required to be a Past Worshipful Master of a Craft Lodge and a Past First Principal, or Past High Priest, of a Royal Arch Chapter.
Recognition
While the United Grand Lodge of England and the Supreme Grand Royal Arch Chapter of England do not formally recognize any Masonic organization beyond the Craft including the Holy Royal Arch, all members of the Masonic Order of Pilgrim Preceptors are required to be currently subscribing members of a regular Craft Lodge in a Craft Jurisdiction recognized by the United Grand Lodge of England and currently subscribing members of a regular Royal Arch Chapter in a Royal Arch Jurisdiction recognized by the Supreme Grand Holy Royal Arch Chapter of England. The United Grand Lodge of England, the Supreme Grand Holy Royal Arch Chapter of England, and the Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of England acknowledge the existence of the Masonic Order of Pilgrim Preceptors and have expressed no objection to their members participating in this organization.
In the United States of America, formal recognition has been extended to the Masonic Order of Pilgrim Preceptors by the Grand Lodges and the Grand Royal Arch Chapters of the following Jurisdictions (alphabetical):
Jurisdiction
Indiana
Iowa
Kansas
Pennsylvania
North Carolina
Tennessee
